Singapore, October 2025 — SIS and Inspirasi Group of Schools took the spotlight at the EdTech Asia Summit 2025 in Singapore, a prestigious forum that brings together education leaders, investors and policymakers from across Asia.

Founder of SIS and Inspirasi, Jaspal Sidhu, was featured as a speaker in the session “Capital and Curriculum: Strategies for Access and Affordability,” where he shared his vision of “Affordable Excellence” — delivering international-quality education at an affordable cost without compromising standards.

This innovative model has gained global recognition from the World Bank Group through the Half-Fees Model Award, which enables schools to reduce tuition fees by up to half each time a new campus is established in a different city. The use of digital technology ensures that all SIS and Inspirasi campuses across Indonesia are connected within one unified learning ecosystem.

In his presentation, Jaspal also introduced the EFFECTOR Model — a research-based teacher development framework developed in collaboration with Deloitte Singapore. The model identifies eight key attributes of teaching effectiveness and reinforces a simple principle: hire for attitude, train for skills.

The success of SIS and Inspirasi has also been acknowledged by Cambridge, which recognizes the school network as a new benchmark for international education that balances academic rigor, student well-being, and affordability.

Jaspal emphasized that Indonesia’s progressive education policies, particularly the spirit of Kurikulum Merdeka, have been a strong catalyst for growth. He also called for cross-sector collaboration to advance blended capital — the synergy of social purpose, public policy, and private investment — as the key to building an inclusive and sustainable future for education.
