The STEM and Healthy Week programme was an exciting learning experience for students. It provided many meaningful and enjoyable activities that combined STEM learning with healthy living. Through creative activities, simple experiments, and engineering challenges, students learned through play in a practical and engaging way.
The programme began on 18 May 2026 with “Fresh Fruit Day”. During the mathematics activities, students counted craft materials from 1 to 10, matched numbers with quantities, and measured and compared their friends’ heights using apple pictures as a non-standard measuring tool. These activities helped students learn about measurement, comparison, and basic numeracy skills in a fun way.
On 19 May 2026, “Green Goodness Day” focused on science learning about vegetables and plants. Students explored different types of vegetables and grouped them according to their colour, size, shape, and texture. They also learned about the parts of plants that people can eat by observing real vegetables. Through this activity, students learned that not all plants are safe to eat and began to understand the importance of food safety.
The programme continued on 20 May 2026 with “Strong Body Day”, which focused on the importance of protein for growth and good health. The school worked together with Youvit to conduct growth checks for the children and provide milk samples for all Inspirasi Schools students. This activity aimed to encourage healthy habits and good nutrition from an early age.
The final activity, “Healthy Bites Day”, was held on 21 May 2026. Students took part in a simple engineering activity where they observed, compared, and measured leaves using simple measuring tools. They also created playground models from recycled materials using different 2D and 3D shapes. This activity helped students develop creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and care for the environment.
Through this programme, students not only learned about STEM and healthy living, but also developed creativity, critical thinking, teamwork, and healthy habits in a fun and active learning environment. This programme reflects Inspirasi Schools’ commitment to providing meaningful learning experiences that help prepare students for the future.
Summary
