During the holy month of Ramadan, our Inspirasi Schools  hosted a heartwarming event, Harmony in Faiths. This special occasion brought together students from Nursery 1 to Primary 1, along with their parents, teachers, and staff, in a celebration of unity, kindness, and cultural understanding

The day began with our Nursery 1 and Nursery 2 students enjoying a storytelling session centered around the theme of kindness, an important value shared by all religions and cultures. Afterward, students were grouped according to their individual faiths, where they participated in engaging activities designed to deepen their understanding of their own traditions through hands-on experiences.

Back in their classrooms, the children put their creativity to work in a fun food-making activity for Takjil. Nursery 1 students made fruit satay, while Nursery 2 students created fruit ice – both simple, enjoyable treats that helped reinforce themes of sharing, teamwork, and appreciation.

For students in Kindergarten 1 through Primary 1, the day began with a joint assembly to build a sense of connection before they explored their own faiths in small group settings. These sessions were followed by craft and hands-on activities to help bring their learning to life. Then, back in their classrooms, the children prepared their own healthy Takjil: Kindergarten 1 made fruit sandwiches, while Kindergarten 2 and Primary 1 students prepared colorful fruit salads.

While the children were learning and creating, the parents gathered in the canteen to help prepare the fresh fruit used in the food-making activities. This beautiful collaboration between school and home truly reflected the spirit of togetherness that the event aimed to promote.

As the sun set and the time for breaking the fast approached, everyone: students, parents, teachers, and staff came together in the canteen to share a meal. It was a joyful, meaningful moment that highlighted the values of unity, respect, and community.

Harmony in Faiths was a wonderful reminder that no matter our backgrounds, we can come together to learn from one another, celebrate our differences, and strengthen the bonds that connect us all. We look forward to continuing these meaningful moments in the future.
